adoption update: our first visit is scheduled

Wow - we’re actually quite surprised!  When we dropped off our paperwork yesterday, we assumed we would get some sort of standard confirmation and we did.  This morning we received an email saying that they had received our stuff and we were being assigned a social worker who would contact us within a week.  Very exciting.

It gets better!  By early this afternoon, we had already been in contact with our social worker and set up our first appointment with her for Friday, May 30.

I’m sure it’ll feel like a LONG time between now and then, but we’re excited that it’s all in the works!
