a supremely happy day

Well - we’re in!  One week ago, we got a group of friends together to help us make the 3 mile trek from our old house to the new one.  By Monday morning, we were unpacked, settled ... everything!  To prove it we’ve posted some pics, click here to see them!

It wasn’t without it’s share of drama, however.  We met for our closing at 3:30 on Thursday, the 11th.  Everything was going splendidly.  All the papers were signed, we were all joking and happy ... and THEN we got the news that the wire transfer had been SENT but not RECEIVED.  Evidently the receiving end of our mortgage is on the east coast and the bank had closed by the time it needed to be received.  So we couldn’t have our keys on Thursday.  Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh.  Oh well ... we got them on Friday, started painting like CRAZY people and the rest is history!
