more forms
Sometimes forms seem never-ending. If the adoption process approval itself wasn’t enough, there is the never-ending series of forms that “update” your adoption approval.
Dan and I filled out yet another couple of forms today to update our Adam Walsh FBI Background Study. We were also asked to fill out something called the Risk Summary Form. Since our country of choice has gone to a two-trip process, our agency has put together a list of 21 disclaimers about what “may” happen as a result of the changes the government of Ethiopia has made. We must be ok with these risks and sign and date this form and return it to our agency to continue the process. So we are, and we did.
After signing said forms we celebrated by calling the Ethiopian Program Hotline. They are still referring children to families who began their wait in September of 2008. (for our age group anyway) So we continue to wait another day.
I’m still working on that puzzle. Wouldn’t it be fun if I really did finish it on the day of referral? It’s almost halfway completed. We’ll see. I’m anxious to finish it, glue it and frame it, so I have a feeling it will be on the wall before we get the call. Hey that rhymed.
Hope you are finding the summer as beautiful and relaxing as we are!
