a year of moments
Here's a fun recap of our year in moments...
January 7, 2012 - a fun gathering at our house to celebrate our first Ethiopian Christmas with Tate. The Kimptons and the Bobendriers joined the party!
February 26, 2012 - part of a church wide Global Awareness project that raised THOUSANDS of dollars for a hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa. I couldn't be more blessed to be part of a community that "sees" with God's eyes.
March 2012 - made a bunch of super cool sensory bins for my little guy...he still really likes to play in the rice!
April 6, 2012 - a VERY special 1st birthday celebration WITH our little boy. He turned 2!
May 13, 2012 - Tate Temesgen Leverence was dedicated to the Lord at CEFC. (Mother's Day)
June 2, 2012 - village127's first annual Summer Social Gathering. Almost 100 gathered to celebrate adoption and have a really fun day!
July 2012 - Dan and I gave up soda. Seriously people, it's been a journey and something I'm pretty proud of us for doing.
August 2012 - enjoyed some seriously fun boating opportunities with my family. Forest Lake became our favorite place to explore and relax! We also celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary, and our hopefully 1st ANNUAL Travel Group Reunion. We spent several days with a VERY special group of people.
September 22, 2012 - enjoyed a getaway "overnight" with Dan and Tate in Duluth. REALLY fun hotel stay, and trip to Split Rock Lighthouse.
October 15-27, 2012 - two weeks in a car traveling to Tucson AZ to meet Great Grandma Husted, on to San Diego for fun in the sun, and back to Phoenix AZ to meet all of Tate's new relatives there. FUN, LONG, AWESOME road trip. Many hours of listening to the theme of Word World, but worth every minute. Oh and little guy was an "Ambusa" for Halloween! :)
November 22, 2012 - our last Thanksgiving with Grandpa Leverence. We had no idea that God would call him home on New Year's Day this year. Our hearts are broken, but thankful for a long and full life spent with a family who loved him dearly.
December 25, 2012 - a WONDERFUL Christmas with little man Tate. Hilariously watching him enjoy his gifts, and a fun day together RELAXING as a family putting things together for him.
